Body memory and the transformations of actinq performance in hybrid theater
Keywords:
body memory ,Hybrid TheatreAbstract
Body memory is described as the performative structure formed from social, cultural, and cognitive accumulations and acquisitions within the actor’s body. In hybrid theatre, these acquisitions are transformed into the organizational force of movement, time, and per formatively produced meaning within space The body, through its memory, is not viewed merely as the executive tool for dialogue or the external appearance of the character; rather, it constitutes the point of departure through its centrality as the living archive of all experiences, acquisitions, training, emotions, and cultural references that the actor seeks to retrieve within the theatrical performance. Subsequently, the actor reconstructs these elements through bodily effectiveness in interaction with the digital technologies encountered, represented by images, sounds, and lighting within changing and multiple spaces.
Based on the foregoing, the researcher divided the study into four chapters, The first chapter addressed the methodological framework, including the research problem represented by “body memory and its transformations in hybrid theatre,” followed by the significance of the research, the need for it, its objectives, boundaries, and the definition of terminology The second chapter, entitled “Theoretical Framework,” included the first section, “Hybrid Theatre,” and the second section, “Digital Technology and the Performance of the Hybrid Theatre Actor” The third chapter included the research sample, research tool, methodology, and the analysis of the theatrical performance The Funeral of the Master Father, The fourth chapter presented the results of the analysis and the most important conclusions, followed by references and the bibliography.
