Community militarism and aesthetic heterogeneity in contemporary Iraqi art
Abstract
This research examines the topic of aesthetic heterogeneity and how this heterogeneity clarified the influence of societal militarism on contemporary Iraqi art. The research is divided into four chapters. The first chapter was devoted to explaining the research problem, which was defined as highlighting the concept of heterogeneity in society, especially societal militarism, and how it was represented in contemporary Iraqi art. It also addressed the importance and need for the research, and its goal was to clarify the extent to which contemporary Iraqi art was influenced by societal militarism using different aesthetic methods. The second chapter consisted of two sections, including previous studies and their discussion, as well as extracting and discussing indicators of the theoretical framework to benefit from them in formulating the research tool. The first section was about the concept of heterogeneity, while the second section focused on societal militarism, explaining its starting points, types, and objectives, in addition to its causes and discussing these causes. The third chapter included the research procedures, identifying the research community and selecting the sample, then reviewing the treatments specific to the research tool, its construction method, and sample analysis. The fourth chapter included the research results and conclusions.
