They invite researchers to explore the hidden meanings of these connotations according to a scientific methodology to arrive at the axiology of artistic expression based on a scientific analysis of values, including the value of combining multiple times and different places in miniature. The objectives of the research were determined by clarifying the axiological concept in the arts to determine the axiology of combining time and place in Islamic miniatures. The research followed the historical, descriptive and analytical method, and the research sample consisted of four miniatures from Islamic manuscripts dating back to the sixteenth century AD. The research reached several results, the most important of which is that the Muslim artist expressed the axiology of combining time and place according to an integrated intellectual philosophy, and that the philosophy of aesthetic thought in Islamic arts contributed to shaping the axiological values of integrating time and place in its arts.
shatha Alasqha Copyright (c) 2025 shatha Alasqha (مؤلف) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-06-30 2025-06-30 33 The Mechanisms of Deconstructive practices in Abstract Expressionist Paintigs http://bjfa.uobasrah.edu.iq/index.php/Arts/article/view/356
Abstract :

Keywords: subversion, Derrida, Heidegger, trace, contemporary painting

The research dealt with (the mechanism of subversive works in contemporary Iraqi

painting) and according to what the contemporary artistic trends produced in terms of a

transformation in ideas and a subversion in concepts and techniques as a result of

scientific and technological development and intellectual and philosophical transformation,

the researcher tried to identify the mechanism o The third chapter included the procedures that the

researcher took to reach the research objective, starting with collecting the research community, through

selecting the research sample, and arriving at analyzing the sample models. It also attempts to compensate for some defects in the curricula for teaching ensemble lessons in the music departments in the Faculties of Fine Arts within Iraqi universities. The study presents a suitable scientific model for contemporary Iraqi-Kurdish musical compositions, whether for musicians, composers, or researchers in the field of contemporary musical composition. The researcher completed writing the piece “A Breeze from the Homeland” in a period of three years, and the time of the piece is about six minutes in total. In terms of musical composition, the researcher used traditional and popular Kurdish music to compose the piece. The aim of the composition is to meet the needs of this era by using traditional and popular Kurdish music, developing it, and reformulating it in a suitable contemporary scientific language. In terms of the performance level, the researcher attempted to write the piece for fourth-grade level students in music departments within Iraqi colleges, or at a relatively intermediate level (i.e., the sixth grade, according to the British Royal School). This was to enable students to perform in the fourth year of study within the course of group playing and also to allow opportunities for local orchestras in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq to perform as the composition as well.
Abdullah Jamal Ashraf Ashraf Copyright (c) 2025 Abdullah Jamal Ashraf Ashraf (مؤلف) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-06-30 2025-06-30 33 Representations of black humor in the drawings of the American artist Mark Barian and the Polish artist Pawel Kosinski (a comparative study) An Extracted Research http://bjfa.uobasrah.edu.iq/index.php/Arts/article/view/340
Abstract

The researcher derived the term (black comedy) to formulate the title of his research (Representations of black comedy in the drawings of the American artist Mark Barian and the Polish artist Pawel Kosinski - a comparative study). He formed his research system in the body of his study consisting of four chapters. The first chapter: (The methodological framework) contains the research problem, which included the following questions: How was (black comedy) represented in the works of the contemporary international painters, the American (Mark Barian) and the Polish (Pawel Kosinski)? What are the mechanisms that these two painters adopted in employing (black comedy) in their works? Then the importance of the research and the need for it, the aim of the research, its limits, and the definition of terms. This was followed by the second chapter with two topics: the first: the intellectual and philosophical concept of black comedy, and the second: black comedy in international painting. Then the indicators came to be methods and paths that assist in analyzing the sample. The third chapter (Research Procedures) included the research community, the sample which included (4) models (two models for each artist), the methodology used, the research tool, and the analysis mechanism.

Based on the above, the researcher reached a number of results and conclusions in the fourth chapter, including:

The artist (Barian) uses the explicit style in his works, while the artist (Kosinski) uses the allusion style.

The artists (Barian) and (Kosinski) meet in their focus on the political aspect in their artwork.

In social life, there are many practices and actions that required highlighting them by artists, and they have always contained dark scenes lurking under the shadow of comedy and humor.

After that came the recommendations and suggestions.
داود سلمان Copyright (c) 2025 داود سلمان (مؤلف) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-06-30 2025-06-30 33 An educational model in the subject of handicrafts and its impact on developing artistic taste among students of the Institute of Fine Arts http://bjfa.uobasrah.edu.iq/index.php/Arts/article/view/346
It aims to reveal the design of an educational model in the subject of handicrafts and its effect on developing the artistic taste of female students of the Institute of Fine Arts.To verify the validity of this goal, the researcher set the null hypotheses to measure the effect of the independent variable on the dependent afterward.Conducting the current research required designing a cognitive achievement test to measure and a skill performance evaluation form to measure artistic outputs.

The researcher chose the design with two independent samples with pre- and post-tests, as the research sample was divided into two experimental groups subject to the (educational model) and the other learning by one of the traditional methods and the effect is measured after applying the tools designed for this purpose. The research community consists of first-year(107)students, distributed over(3)art departments, represented by the Department (42) the Calligraphy and Ornamentation(32), and the Audio-Visual(33)for the academic year 2023/2024.Arandom sample was selected,(40)who were distributed into two groups, with (20)as an group and (20) as a control group to apply the tools to them. To extract the results, used the statistical package (SPSS)

It was found that the size of the effect that appeared according to the value of (t-test) calculated as follows, regarding the artistic taste test,(0.8),while for the skill test reached (0.9).These two indicators are good since the standard for measuring the ranges between (0.6-0.14),which means that was effective in providing with the skills of the handicraft in its cognitive and skill aspects
اسوان طاهر Copyright (c) 2025 اسوان طاهر (مؤلف) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-06-30 2025-06-30 33 Reflection of women's issues in Iraqi theatre performances http://bjfa.uobasrah.edu.iq/index.php/Arts/article/view/338
The perspective on women's issues varies between viewing women as a value defined by customs and traditions, and recognizing their inherent abilities and real effectiveness in society. Theater emerges as a vital platform for discussing these issues, as Iraqi theatrical performances reflect the shifts in thought about women by portraying their psychological and social contradictions through multidimensional characters. Despite some symbolic progress in acknowledging the role of women, this recognition often remains partial and superficial. Given the importance of the topic and the complexities it raises, the impact of women's issues—seen as characters rich in social and psychological significance—continues to shape the structure of theatrical performance.
The Baghdadi School of Fine Arts is one of the most prominent artistic movements to emerge in Iraq during the twentieth century. It is distinguished by its efforts to integrate Arab cultural and civilizational heritage, particularly that of Baghdad, in light of social and political changes. The school inspired many artists, influenced by its Arab-Islamic style, which encompassed a profound vision of the Creator of the universe, the universe itself, and humanity. It is not surprising to note the influence of artistic heritage on artists Sattar Luqman and Hassan Abdul Alwan, through which they sought to create an expressive style that blended global artistic modernity with the spirit of Iraqi heritage, particularly the popular Baghdadi heritage.

The researcher sought to study the worlds of both artists, seeking to find commonalities, differences, and similarities in an attempt to understand how the characteristics of the Baghdadi school were represented in their drawings. Based on this, the researcher was able to narrow down the research problem to the following question: What was the manner in which they dealt with drawing shapes, lines, and colors according to the aesthetics of the form, and intellectually in relation to previous or contemporary religious and intellectual ideas? The importance of the research lies in showing the representations of the Baghdadi school in the drawings of the artists Sattar Luqman and Hassan Abdul Alwan, and how they employ artistic elements according to a new vision, and how lines and colors operate on the surface of the Baghdadi painting technically, artistically and intellectually.
ahmed hussen Copyright (c) 2025 ahmed hussen (مؤلف) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-06-30 2025-06-30 33 Treamlined design and Factors Affecting its Formation In Contemporary Interior Space http://bjfa.uobasrah.edu.iq/index.php/Arts/article/view/317
The motives for shaping interior design are renewed to keep pace with the development of civilization at all levels. Therefore, the form is generated from non-formal factors imposed by the nature of the era characterized by speed, flexibility and change. The interior design resulted in flexible, fluid and dynamic formations. The designer's imagination was not the only source for deriving his ideas or his mental images stored in his memory, but rather it resulted from several factors that combined to generate it, paving the way for the perceptions, simulation and inspiration of those formations. Therefore, the research problem crystallized with the following question: "What are the factors affecting the formation of the fluid design of the contemporary interior space, which enable the interior designer to find new and different creative formulations from what came before?" The research aimed to "identify the factors influencing the formation of streamlined design in contemporary interior space".

The theoretical framework dealt with studying the concept of streamlined design and the presence of form in interior design, with studying the factors influencing its formation. The research came out with a set of conclusions, including:

Many factors combined in generating and forming streamlined interior space; including intellectual factors that were manifested from the precursors of contemporary thought in society and all its social, cultural and economic ideologies, and other technical (technological) factors, and scientific phenomena that included all types of natural sciences.

وجدان حسين ابراهيم Copyright (c) 2025 وجدان حسين ابراهيم (مؤلف) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-06-30 2025-06-30 33 The militarization of the alhashd alshaebi and its representations in contemporary Iraqi art http://bjfa.uobasrah.edu.iq/index.php/Arts/article/view/337
Search summary:

This research monitors the topic of the militarization of the Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraqi society and how it is represented in contemporary Iraqi painting. Children are the fundamental group in society and its formation. Therefore, drama directed at children is the most expressive and influential human creative activity on individual behavior, contributing to helping them acquire many advantages. Its content includes positive social values that help children distinguish between right and wrong and develop a sense of responsibility. These values are formulated in an entertaining and enjoyable way, indirectly. Therefore, we see animated films being used dramatically to craft stories in a creative way. Here, it is necessary to prepare a text that is appropriate for the story and its events, on the one hand, and the child's perception and comprehension, on the other hand, and to embody it using animated films.

Chapter One: The methodological framework, which addresses the research methodology, including the research problem, its objective, and its importance.
